A masculine chuckle filled the dark. “You’re not dreaming. Or crazy. It’s us, Bel.” Max tilted his head so the moonlight lit his face a bit more.

She stared, her hand dropping to fist in the covers. Max smiled at her, his expression partly sheepish, and partly taut with some inexplicable emotion she’d never seen before. He looked … aroused?  He licked his lips and she wrinkled her forehead. Impossible. What the hell were they doing here?

“What—” She broke off to clear her throat, which had abruptly closed up as Max shifted his weight. The moonlight spilled across his tight t-shirt, highlighting his impeccable musculature. She tried again. “What are you doing here?”

She startled as the small light she kept on her dresser clicked on. It took her eyes a moment to adjust. When her vision cleared, she realized Levi had moved closer to Max. He cocked his head at his friend, the burnished gold of his hair gleaming in the warm lamplight. She firmly squashed the urge to run her fingers through his hair. She’d been ignoring her attraction to her friends for years now. Despite how desperately you love them, they aren’t interested in you, she told herself, not for the first time.

Max shrugged at Levi. “You explain.”

Levi sighed in exasperation and turned to look at her, his eyes burning a trail from her face to her breasts then down to the juncture of her thighs.

Belinda’s breath hitched as the adrenaline from just a moment ago ratcheted smoothly into arousal, despite her best efforts. What was he doing, looking at her like that? She pulled the sheet up over her breasts, hoping the two men hadn’t seen her nipples through the thin silk of her camisole. Levi’s gaze snapped up and she blushed.

“Don’t hide from us, sweetheart,” Max murmured, surprisingly.

What. The. Hell. Belinda blushed as his voice sent heat through her body. It was bad enough that his sexy baritone had a tendency to drive her insane with lust, but now he was flirting with her? On purpose? She almost never let herself think about his sleek, dark hair. Or his gorgeous brown eyes, lit with humor. No, you never think about him like that, right? Ha, she berated herself. It didn’t help. She already had a serious case of the hots for him. Again. She glanced at Levi. He was grinning, his lovely green eyes attractively crinkled at the corners. Damn. I’m hot for them both. Again. She wished she could smack sense into herself, but banging her head on the wall usually just gave her a headache.

“Bel, you know we would never hurt you,” Levi chimed in. He jammed his hands in his jeans pockets and adjusted himself.

Belinda darted a quick look at his groin. That’s definitely an erection. Right there. In front of me. Holy shit. His cock was clearly visible against the denim, even in the low light. She clutched the sheet even harder. What the hell was she going to do?

“What are you talking about?” she managed to ask.

Levi ran his thumb over the silver button of his jeans suggestively. “We have a proposition for you.” He stepped closer.

There isn’t enough air in here, Belinda thought. A split second later her brain worked the rest out: And Levi is coming on to me. His smooth tenor and looming presence didn’t do much to help her cool down.

“Just hear us out,” Max added, adjusting his jeans as well.

She glanced at his dick, hard and thick against his zipper, and swallowed hard. They stood in front of her, one dark-haired, one light. Both smart and sexy and everything she’d ever wanted in a man. Together, they were a killer combination, and she believed she could never have them, yet here they stood in her bedroom, neither one hiding his body’s reaction.

This is crazy, she thought, even as her eyes strayed to their broad shoulders, strong thighs, and back to their jeans. She didn’t often let herself think about them romantically. She’d watched them date woman after woman and contented herself with the knowledge that she was more important than any of them. They were friends and she didn’t want to jeopardize that. Over the years, she’d developed strategies to help preserve her sanity. None of which are working tonight, she thought, frustrated. Her breasts were tingling.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about and I really wish I did.” Belinda crossed her arms over her chest defensively.

“We’ve come to a decision.” Levi sat on the bed, pulling the covers taut across her thighs.
